The DRML™ Service - Sell From Your Website

DRML is Really Very Simple

In order to sell content you've packaged through DRML's service, you only need to do two things:
  1. Upload your packaged .drml content file to your website

  2. Update your relevant website page(s) with text and/or graphics to give your consumer a link to that content

That's all there is to it!  To enable your customers to download and purchase this content for their PC or Mobile, you just have to make the .drml file available online!

The DRML client

To access a .drml content file after download, your consumer must have a DRML Client installed on their PC or Mobile Phone before they can see your packaging and make payment. This can be downloaded and installed from here.

Examples of HTML Code LInks for Your DRML Files

Lets say you have packaged your content with the DRML service, creating a .drml content file, myfile.drml.

Step 1
Upload myfile.drml to a directory on your webserver (just like you would upload a graphic or banner).

Step 2.
Insert a link into your website on the relevant webpage such as:

This is a new piece of content. <a href="myfile.drml">Click here</a> to download.

OR

To set the link for consumers to buy specifically for Mobile, simply add a link to the DRML Mobile service login page (this passes the address of your DRML file for delivery to mobile):

This is a new piece of content. <a href="http://mob.drml.com/logon.asp?drmlfile=http://www.mywebsite.com/myfile.drml">Click here</a> to download for your mobile.
